Coming from a family background of self-employment in farming, landscaping and building, I was taught self-reliance at an early age. A keen sportsman, I spent a season with Cardiff City Youth and captained my local team. . At the age of 16 I climbed Mt. Kenya and aided in the construction of an orphanage before completing a charity month in Borneo, and community work in Nepal. Since then I have traveled extensively throughout the world, living in Australia for two years, trekking to Mt. Everest Base Camp, and participating in the ascent of a high altitude mountain, Mt. Himlung, in Nepal in 2015. Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed taking on new challenges, embracing the necessary preparation and training. I’m now excited to embark on our next adventure: The Atlantic Row.
